Sabah polls: Hot weather fails to deter early Lamag voters

KINABATANGAN: Despite a forecast of rain by MetMalaysia, scorching heat greeted voters at SK Bukit Garam as Lamag residents turned up early to cast their ballots.

Election Commission officers manage the flow smoothly through verification and indelible ink application.

Voters then proceed to their respective channels.

The centre is where incumbent assemblyman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin is expected to vote.

The Lamag seat is in the spotlight as the Barisan Nasional Sabah chairman defends the constituency.

It is a six cornered contest involving GRS, Warisan, Perikatan Nasional, Parti Impian Sabah and an Independent candidate.

The polling centre records a steady stream of voters throughout the morning.

Many first-time voters are eager to fulfil their civic duty despite the heat.
