The ministry, in a statement on Friday (Nov 28), said that the directive was issued under the Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act 1998 [Act 586]

“The purpose of this directive is to strengthen transparency, facilitate communication and ensure more effective monitoring of the role of MCO/TPA in the private healthcare sector,” it read.

The ministry also said that all relevant MCOs/TPAs were required to submit information via the official ministry online form no later than Jan 31, 2026.

“Compliance with this directive is important to ensure that the country's private healthcare system continues to operate transparently and in the interests of the people,” read the statement.
