MetMalaysia issues thunderstorm warning for several states


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department issued a thunderstorm warning for several states and territories until 10am on Monday (Nov 24).

In Pahang, Bera is forecast to face thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds.

In Selangor, Klang, Petaling, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat and Sepang are under the warning.

Residents are advised to remain vigilant as adverse conditions are expected.

Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya are also included in the alert.

Negeri Sembilan and Melaka residents are advised to be on alert for severe weather.

MetMalaysia issues such warnings when rainfall intensity exceeds 20mm per hour or is expected to last more than an hour.

These are short term warnings and are valid for no more than six hours from issuance.
