Sabah polls: KDM to contest 40 seats


KOTA KINABALU: Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) acting president Priscella Peter and deputy president Datuk Wetrom Bahanda are among the 40 candidates who will contest in the 17th Sabah Election on Nov 29.

Priscella will contest in Melalap while Wetrom will stand in Matunggong.

Others in the fray include Tanjong Papat assemblyman and ex-Sabah DAP chairman Datuk Frankie Poon Ming Fung, who will defend his seat, former Sabah DAP secretary Liau Fui Fui (Elopura) and local artiste and former footballer Henry Saimpon (Kiulu).

Only 39 names are announced on Thursday (Nov 13) while the candidate for Kemabong will be announced on Friday.

The candidates are:
