SHAH ALAM: The victim of a shooting incident at a petrol station in the Bukit Tinggi area, Klang, on Friday (Nov 7) has been identified as a wanted individual under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (SOSMA).

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Shazeli Kahar confirmed that the 34-year-old local man had a criminal record with several prior offences.

He said investigations are focusing on various angles, taking into account the victim's background, with seven statements recorded so far from the victim's wife, family members, and witnesses.

"The investigation is still ongoing. The post-mortem has been completed, and the cause of death was determined to be multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen. The body has been released to the family for burial," he said.

Shazeli said this at a press conference held to highlight the achievements of the Selangor Commercial Crime Investigation Department and the Selangor Internal Security and Public Order Department.
