Kedah civil servants to get RM2,000 special assistance, says MB


ALOR SETAR: The Kedah government on Monday (Nov 10) announced a special financial assistance of RM2,000 for its 4,941 civil servants and members of the state administration as a token of appreciation for their dedication.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said the payment would be made in two instalments, in January and March next year.

"The close cooperation between the political leadership and the administrative machinery is the key to our success in developing Kedah.

"In appreciation of this hard work, I am pleased to announce that the state government has approved this special financial assistance, with a total allocation of RM10mil,” he said while tabling Kedah’s Budget 2026 at the State Legislative Assembly sitting here on Monday. — Bernama
