THE Internet is abuzz with talk that martial arts superstar Jet Li (pic) has recently received a heart transplant from a young monk – the reason for his vitality despite his age.

China Press reported that speculation around the 62-year-old’s health have been a staple in the press for the past few years where he was photographed looking frail and aged, a stark difference to his younger movie-making days.

He sparked worry among fans when he posted a photo of himself lying on a hospital bed recently with a tube seen inserted in his neck.

Seemingly to dispel rumours about his failing health, Li posted a video of himself shirtless and swimming.

His astonishingly quick recovery sparked even more talk among Internet users, with some claiming that he had received a heart transplant from a young monk, pointing at what appears to be a faint scar on his chest.
