Fire breaks out near Balakong housing area


PETALING JAYA: A forest fire broke out in Taman Seri Timah, Balakong, with firefighters in the midst of extinguishing the flame.

When contacted, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis said that the department deployed a team to the scene at 7.25pm.

"The operations commander noted that the fire engulfed around three acres of forest on top of a hill there. As of 9pm firefighters are still extinguishing the fire," he said.
