Tawau teen rapes underaged girl, gets her pregnant

KOTA KINABALU: A teenager has been arrested for allegedly raping his underage girlfriend until she got pregnant.

The girl, 15, had been feeling unwell and was taken to a private clinic for medical checkup where the doctor told her that she was six months pregnant.

Following this, her 19-year-old boyfriend was identified and hauled in for police questioning, says Tawau OCPD Asst Comm Jasmin Hussin on Tuesday (Nov 4).

He said initial investigations found that the girl was taken to a house at Taman Sri Balung where she was raped.

He said the suspect will be remanded and probed for rape under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code.

ACP Jasmin urged parents to be aware of their children’s activities and friends and to educate them on social moral issues to prevent such incidents.
