Batu Tiga-Subang Jaya KTM Komuter services temporarily disrupted

KUALA LUMPUR: The KTM Komuter train service on the Batu Tiga-Subang Jaya route experienced a disruption on Tuesday (Nov 4) morning due to a break in the overhead line.

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) announced in a statement that the incident, which occurred at approximately 8.30am, temporarily closed the line between the Subang Jaya and Batu Tiga stations.

As a result of the disruption, commuter train services were delayed by more than 60 minutes and were terminated early because only a single track could be used.

"Therefore, the service for the Port Klang-Tanjung Malim route will end at Shah Alam, Batu Tiga and Padang Jawa stations, while arrangements will be made for passengers to take shuttle buses to the Subang Jaya station to continue their journey to their respective destinations," read the statement.

KTMB also announced that for afternoon operations, trains from KL Sentral would terminate at Subang Jaya station before passengers board shuttle buses between Subang Jaya and Shah Alam, and then continue their journey using commuter trains from Shah Alam station to Port Klang.

KTMB's technical team is currently at the scene conducting repair work to ensure train services can be restored and operate as usual as soon as possible.

"KTMB apologises for the inconvenience experienced by passengers, and appreciates the patience and cooperation of all parties," it said. – Bernama
