Shaiful is the new managing director and chief executive officer of UEM Edgenta Bhd, effective Nov 1.

KUALA LUMPUR: UEM Edgenta Bhd announced the appointment of Shaiful Subhan as its managing director and chief executive officer (MD/CEO) effective Nov 1.

Shaiful has served as the company's officer in charge during the transition period following the resignation of former MD/CEO Syahrunizam Samsudin on Aug 31.

Shaiful joined the company in January 2023 as the Healthcare Solutions head and Edgenta Mediserve Sdn Bhd managing director. In this role, he was instrumental in overseeing the company’s strategic direction, driving operational excellence and growing its business within Malaysia’s healthcare support industry.

With over 25 years of leadership experience across multiple sectors, Shaiful brings a wealth of expertise to his new position. Before UEM Edgenta, he was IRIS Corporation Berhad group chief executive officer from 2017 to 2022. This appointment follows an extensive and rigorous selection process and is a positive reflection of the company’s robust succession planning.

The UEM Edgenta board of directors is confident that Shaiful’s deep industry knowledge, proven leadership and vision will significantly strengthen UEM Edgenta’s position as a leading regional player in asset management and infrastructure solutions.
