Malaysia’s Asean chairmanship spurs progress in trade, digital economy, says Thai Minister of Commerce

KUALA LUMPUR: Thailand’s new Minister of Commerce Suphajee Suthumpun has heaped praise on Malaysia’s Asean Chairmanship this year for leading the group in advancing regional economic integration.

Suphajee said regional trade has been further reinforced under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s leadership despite the 58-year-old Southeast Asian regional grouping facing immense geopolitical challenges.
