Bukit Aman dept chief heads police awards list

KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, conferred the Panglima Gagah Pasukan Polis (PGPP) award on Bukit Aman Management Depart­ment director Datuk Seri Abdul Aziz Abdul Majid.

Abdul Aziz led the list of 109 recipients at the investiture of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) gallantry awards and medals for 2025, held at the Balairung Seri, Istana Negara, here yesterday.

Also receiving the PGPP award were Bukit Aman Logistics and Technology Department director Comm Gilberd Philip Layang, Johor police chief Datuk Ab Rahaman Arsad and Penang police chief Datuk Azizee Ismail.

At the ceremony, His Majesty also conferred the Pang­lima Setia Pasukan Polis (PSPP) award to five recipients, the Pahlawan Pasukan Polis award to 16 recipients, the Kesatria Pasukan Polis award to six recipients and the Bentara Pasukan Polis medal to 78 recipients, Bernama reported.

The awards and medals were presented to officers and personnel of other ranks in recognition of their contributions and sacrifices to PDRM.

Also present at the ceremony were Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail and Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail.
