Johor Jaya Fire and Rescue Station chief Mohd Faiz Ramli said the boys, aged nine and ten, left home at about 2pm on Tuesday (Oct 21).

“A total of 14 personnel were dispatched after a distress call at about 9.44pm,” he said. Upon arrival, the team found two pairs of slippers believed to belong to the missing boys,” he said.

“Following a search and rescue operation, the bodies were found at about 2.28am,” added Mohd Faiz.
