Foreigner murdered in Bangsar, cops seeking witnesses


KUALA LUMPUR: Police are seeking witnesses in a case involving a foreign man found dead with head injuries in Persiaran Ara Kiri in Bangsar.

Brickfields police chief ACP Hoo Chang Hook said they received a police report on the discovery of the body of a man in his 40s, who is believed to be homeless, at 8.03am on Wednesday (Oct 22).

"According to initial investigations, the incident occurred at 10.21pm on Tuesday (Oct 21), and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code (for murder). Police are tracing the suspect(s) involved as well as witnesses to the incident," he said in a statement on Wednesday.

Hoo urged anyone with information on the incident to contact the KL police hotline at 03-2115 9999, the Brickfields police station at 03-2297 9222, investigating officer Asst Supt Muhamad Nabil Afif Abdul Rahman at 012-695 5051 or the nearest police station. – Bernama
