King, Queen extend Deepavali greetings

PETALING JAYA: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, have expressed heartfelt Deepavali greetings to Hindu devotees across Malaysia.

The King and Queen, in an official statement, expressed their hope that the Festival of Lights would bring happiness, well-­being and prosperity to all who are celebrating the occasion nationwide.

“May the light of Deepavali fill your life with joy, prosperity and happiness.

“Wishing you and your loved ones a bright and blessed Deepavali,” they said in their message, which was posted on their official social media platforms on Sunday.
