MetMalaysia issues tropical storm advisory


KOTA KINABALU: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) on Sunday (Oct 19) issued an advisory on tropical storm Fengshen currently located at approximately 997km northeast of Kudat, Sabah.

In a statement, MetMalaysia said the storm is currently about 124km northwest of Manila City, Philippines and moving northwest at 30 km/h.

"The maximum wind speed can reach 65 km/h," the statement said, adding that there is no significant impact or threat to Malaysia. - Bernama
