MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms in several states until 8pm (Oct 14)


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several states until 8pm on Tuesday (Oct 14).

In a statement at 4.40pm on Tuesday, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Perak (Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim); Terengganu (Dungun and Kemaman); Pahang (Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Bera and Rompin); Selangor; the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya; Negri Sembilan; Melaka and Johor (Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat and Kluang)

It also warned of bad weather in Sarawak affecting areas in Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah (Tanjung Manis and Daro); Kapit (Song and Belaga); Miri (Telang Usan and Marudi) and Limbang

Areas affected in Sabah are Interior; West Coast (Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu and Tuaran); Tawau and the Federal Territory of Labuan.
