MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms in several states until 7pm (Oct 12)


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several states until 7pm on Sunday (Oct 12).

In a statement at 4.50pm on Sunday, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Kedah (Sik and Baling); Perak (Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim); Kelantan; Terengganu (Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu and Kuala Terengganu); Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, Bera and Pekan); Selangor (Sabak Bernam and Hulu Selangor) and Negri Sembilan (Jelebu and Jempol)

It also warned of bad weather in Sarawak affecting areas Sri Aman; Betong; Sarikei; Sibu; Kapit (Song); Miri (Telang Usan and Marudi) and Limbang.

Areas affected in Sabah are the interior (Sipitang, Tenom and Nabawan).
