Four cops nabbed after testing positive for drugs at Kuantan entertainment outlet


KUANTAN: Four police officers and personnel, including a woman, serving in Pahang were detained after testing positive for drugs during a raid at an entertainment outlet here Saturday (Oct 11).

Pahang police chief Comm Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman said the arrests were carried out by the Bukit Aman Integrity and Standard Compliance Department (JIPS).

"I can confirm the case and further investigation is underway," he told Bernama Sunday (Oct 12).

According to reports, the four individuals, two officers and two rank-and-file personnel aged between 30 and 40 years old, were found in a karaoke room at the premises when the raid was conducted.

It is understood that all of them have been released on police bail after their statements were recorded. - Bernama
