Raja of Perlis presides over 270th meeting of Conference of Rulers


KUALA LUMPUR: Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail on Wednesday (Oct 8) presided over the 270th Meeting of the Conference of Rulers at Istana Negara here.

Attending the meeting were Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin of Terengganu, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah of Selangor, Sultan Nazrin Shah of Perak, Al-Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah of Kedah and the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir.

Kelantan Crown Prince Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra, Tunku Temenggong of Johor Tunku Idris Iskandar Sultan Ibrahim and Tengku Panglima Raja Tengku Amir Nasser Ibrahim Shah of Pahang were in attendance.

The meeting was also attended by Governor of Sarawak Tun Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, Governor of Melaka Tun Dr Mohd Ali Rustam, Governor of Sabah Tun Musa Aman and Governor of Penang Tun Ramli Ngah Talib.

The rulers and governors were accompanied to the meeting by their respective chief ministers, menteris besar and representatives.

On Tuesday, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, graced the pre-council meeting at Istana Negara.

The last meeting of the Conference of Rulers was held on July 16, presided over by Sultan Sharafuddin. - Bernama
