PM Anwar begins two-day visit to Sabah


KOTA KINABALU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is also PKR president, is on a two-day visit to Sabah, starting Friday (Sept 26).

He is scheduled to arrive at Kota Kinabalu International Airport this afternoon before attending three  PKR gatherings in conjunction with the 27th anniversary of Reformasi, to be held in Inanam here, Tawau, and Sandakan.

The first event will take place at 3pm at Dewan Pisompuruan, Kampung Kobuni, Inanam, followed by the second event at 6.30pm at the Merotai Besar Village Community Centre, Tawau.

The Prime Minister will then conclude the day's programme with a third gathering at 9.30pm at Dewan Yu Yuan, Sandakan.

Tomorrow, Anwar's itinerary will begin with a breakfast event, Majlis Sarapan Mesra Wira Samudera at 8am at the Malaysian Armed Forces Quarters Complex in Taman Samudera, Sandakan.

At 9.30am, he will attend the Jelajah Wira Madani event and the 20th anniversary celebration of the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA)  at the Sandakan MMEA Zone Complex.

The Prime Minister is expected to depart for Batu Berendam International Airport in Melaka, concluding his visit to Sabah. - Bernama
