Five eateries destroyed in fire in Kota Damansara flats


KUALA LUMPUR: Five eateries were destroyed in a fire at Block C, Gugusan Kesumbar Flats, Jalan Pekaka 8/1, Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya, near here on Friday afternoon (Sept 19).

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said they received a call about the fire at 6.06pm.

"The first fire engine from Sungai Buloh Fire and Rescue Station reached the location at 6.20 pm and managed to bring the fire under control by 6.24pm," he said in a statement tonight, adding that the fire affected five eateries measuring 50x50 square feet each, which were completely destroyed.

The fire also destroyed two cars and three motorcycles, he said, adding that no casualties were recorded in the fire. – Bernama
