Express bus with 39 passengers loses control, crashes into three vehicles on KL-Karak Highway


BENTONG: An express bus carrying 39 passengers is believed to have lost control before colliding with three other vehicles in an accident at KM47 of the Kuala Lumpur–Karak Highway on Friday (Sept 12).

Bentong OCPD Supt Zaiham Mohd Kahar said, in a statement Sunday (Sept 14), that they received a call from a member of the public about the incident at around 6pm Friday.

"Investigations revealed that the accident involved an express bus from the Gombak Integrated Terminal heading towards Raub.

"Upon reaching the location, the bus is believed to have lost control and subsequently crashed into three other vehicles," he said in the statement.

Supt Zaiham reported that no fatalities were recorded, and all victims escaped without injuries.

The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

Meanwhile, he urged any witnesses to come forward to assist with the investigation.

"The police advise all road users to always be cautious when driving, especially in windy areas," he added.
