ALOR SETAR: A man and a woman have been found dead with stab wounds in Taman Nona, Guar Chempedak here.
Yan OCPD Supt Mohd Hamizi Abdullah said police were informed of the incident at 9.40pm on Thursday (Sept 11).
"The male victim was 30 years old while the female victim was 28," he said here on Friday (Sept 12).
“The woman was found in a car in front of a house, while the man was lying on the road in the housing area with multiple stab wounds on his body.
“The sequence of events leading to their deaths is still under investigation," he said, adding that police are in the process of establishing the victims' movements leading to the incident.
Supt Hamizi said they are also looking into the victims' relationship and trying to determine the motive.
He said the man was believed to be from Yan, while the woman was from Sungai Petani.
The bodies have been sent to Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah for post-mortem and no arrest has been made yet, he added.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
