Zara Qairina inquest: Mannequin's legs broke in simulated fall, court hears

KOTA KINABALU: The mannequin used to simulate Zara Qairina Mahathir's fall was brought to inquest proceedings at the Coroner's Court here on Wednesday (Sept 10).

The mannequin had been dropped from the third floor of a dormitory building at the victim's school in Papar.

During the test, the mannequin's head fell off and both its legs broke at the calf area.

A rock that tied to the mannequin's hip to simulate Zara Qairina's weight also cracked in the fall, the Coroner’s Court was told.

The simulation was conducted by Insp Maidon Bernandus from the police's criminal investigation department (CID) on Sept 3.
