Woman dies in Port Dickson car-bus collision


PORT DICKSON: A 69-year-old woman has died after the car she was in collided with a bus at Dataran Segar here.

Port Dickson OCPD Supt Maslan Udin said the crash occurred at 5.30am on Saturday (Sept 6) at a traffic light junction when the bus – travelling from Port Dickson to Seremban – collided with the victim's car.

"The 69-year-old victim suffered severe head injuries and died while receiving treatment at the Port Dickson Hospital," he said in a statement, adding that the 41-year-old bus driver escaped unharmed.

Supt Maslan said both vehicles have been seized for inspection by Puspakom, adding that investigators are obtaining closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the scene for the investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. – Bernama
