PETALING JAYA: Traffic accidents will leave dents and damage to vehicles, but unscrupulous tow truck operators can inflict even deeper financial scars to their owners by deceiving them with unnecessary repairs and inflated charges.
Several motorists who spoke to The Star on condition of anonymity expressed their disgust and disappointment at being duped by crooked tow truckers into having their stranded cars handled by them before being held “at ransom” later.
