PETALING JAYA: Users will be able to stream the coming FIFA World Cup 2026 broadcast by RTM on the MyGOV Malaysia app.
The Digital Ministry said users registered with MyDigital ID can access live broadcasts through the app’s live-streaming feature, which will showcase content from TV1, TV2 and Okey TV.
Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo (pic) said those registered with MyDigital ID can access live coverage through the app’s live-streaming feature.
“The MyGOV Malaysia app reflects the government’s continued efforts to improve how Malaysians access digital services.
“As usage continues to grow, the platform is being progressively enhanced to support scalability, performance and user experience improvements,” he said in a statement yesterday.
MyGOV Malaysia was launched last year as a platform to consolidate various services from government agencies.
It now features 51 services from 19 government agencies, including Travel Restriction Status, Unclaimed Moneys and PriceCatcher, with a user base of over 2.2 million.
Digital Ministry secretary-general Datuk Fabian Bigar said the app was designed to eliminate bureaucratic silos through enhanced data interoperability and unified public infrastructure.
He said a connected government is a prerequisite for Malaysia’s AI-driven future.
“By unifying fragmented agency platforms under the MyGOV ecosystem, we are building the clean, interoperable data foundations necessary to deploy scalable artificial intelligence.
“Our ultimate blueprint is to transition from reactive public services to predictive, highly personalised citizen experiences, firmly securing Malaysia’s trajectory toward becoming a leading AI Nation by 2030,” he added.
The Communications Ministry has announced RTM and Unifi TV as the official broadcasters for the FIFA World Cup 2026. More information is available on www.MyGOV.gov.my/ms-MY.
The global event kicks off on June 11 in Mexico City, with the final to take place on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA.
