Search underway for missing man near Sungai Baru Labu in Seri Iskandar


IPOH: A search and rescue operation is ongoing to locate a 27-year-old man who has gone missing near Sungai Baru Labu in Bota Kiri, Seri Iskandar, since Wednesday (Sept 5).

A Perak Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the victim, identified as Muhammad Nurman Mohd Nor, had told his father he wanted to bathe in a nearby river on Wednesday at about 2pm.

The spokesman said they visited the victim's family at their home and were told by the father that his son did not return home afterwards.

They visited the location where the victim is believed to have gone missing and set up the search and rescue operations base there.

The search party consists of nine firemen, four police officers and seven fishermen.
