SAR op ongoing for two young children after car plunges into Sg Linggi


PORT DICKSON: The authorities have launched a search and rescue operation for two young children after a car they were travelling in plunged into Sg Linggi following an accident.

A Fire and Rescue department spokesman said members of the public managed to save a man and his wife who were travelling in the same car in the incident, which took place around 11.30am on Thursday (Sept 4).

He said there were four people travelling in the car at the time of the accident which happened near the Negri Sembilan-Melaka border.

"It is learnt that a six-year-old boy and an eight-year-old girl were trapped in the car.

"A search and rescue operation was immediately launched," he said, adding that it could not be established yet if the children belonged to the couple.
