A TOTAL of 500 chickens were sold out in an hour during the Agro Madani sales programme, Utusan Malaysia reported.
Kuala Langat Area Farmers’ Organisation chairman Dr Abdul Razak Khasbullah said the RM8 price offered was part of the 68th National Day sale.
“Earlier, the chickens were sold at RM10 but were reduced to the Rahmah rate at RM8,” he said.
Sales of 200 bottles of cooking oil, sold at RM7 per bottle, also received a good response.

Siti Masnita Katan, 31, said she never expected that sharing her creations on social media would lead to a surge in bookings.
“Demand was good until I couldn’t even respond to all the bookings,” she added.
She expressed joy that her crafts enabled her to express love for the country as well as contribute to her family’s income.
