Segamat hit by 2.5-magnitude aftershock


SEGAMAT: A 2.5-magnitude aftershock was recorded in Segamat on Thursday (Aug 28) evening.

The tremor at 7.56pm was recorded about 13km north of Segamat, according to the Meteorological Department.

This incident follows a 3.2-magnitude aftershock that occurred on Wednesday (Aug 27) and a 4.1-magnitude earthquake at 6.13am on Sunday (Aug 24).

"The epicentre of the Thursday tremor was at 2.6° North and 102.8° East, with a depth of 10km.

"Tremors were felt in Johor," the Meteorological Department said.
