Animal watching has tourism potential for Sabah

Rich in fauna: Sabah has wide and lush forests that house many species of animals, some endemic to this part of the world.

KOTA KINABALU: Animal watching, including herping - which refers to the act of searching for amphibians or reptiles - could be developed into a tourism product for Sabah, say conservationists and tourism players.

Founder of MammalWatching.com, Jon Hall, who is also widely regarded as the “King of Mammal Watching”, shared during a mammal and herping workshop held here recently on how Sabah could better capitalise on its biodiversity.
