District police chief OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Hatta Che Din said the cop, who was on his motorcycle, died while receiving treatment at the Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital.

"Preliminary investigation has revealed that the incident happened at 1am on Monday (Aug 18) while the cop was travelling from Seremban towards Temiang.

"The 26-year-old car driver, who was heading in the opposite direction, is believed to have lost control of his car and crashed into him," he said in a statement.
