Commercial developments may come under housing ministry under amended law, say Nga

PETALIING JAYA: Amendments may be made to the Housing Development (Control and Licensing) Act 1966 for enforcement on problematic commercial projects to come under the Housing and Local Government Ministry, says Nga Kor Ming.

The Housing and Local Government Minister revealed in Parliament that as of April 2025, a total of 109 property developers had been blacklisted but only for housing projects as commercial developments are not under the ministry's jurisdiction.
