Search on for reckless luxury car driver


MELAKA: Police are tracking down the driver of a luxury vehicle who fled after crashing into three parked cars along Jalan Merdeka.

A police spokesman said the man, who has been identified, has yet to come forward to lodge a report on the incident, which occurred at 10.58am yesterday.

The vehicle is believed to have skidded before ploughing into the stationary cars in a parking bay.

Melaka police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Dzulkhairi Mukhtar said the owners of two of the damaged cars, a 45-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, lodged police reports the same day.

The case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous driving.
