Halal certification attracts tourists, says Armizan

KUALA LUMPUR: Halal certification in the food and beverage (F&B) sector adds significant value to businesses as Malaysia continues to attract growing numbers of foreign tourists, says Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali.

The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister said the halal certification went beyond religious requirements, as it also reflected evaluations of cleanliness, food safety and overall quality standards.
