Falling tree damages 10 cars in Gunung Angsi


SEREMBAN: Ten cars were damaged by a fallen tree and a utility pole at Gunung Angsi Ulu Bendul, Kuala Pilah here Saturday (Aug 16).

Seri Menanti Fire and Rescue Station Senior Fire Officer II Norhirwan Zainal said the station received a call about the incident at 11.05am.

"In the incident, three cars were crushed by a fallen tree, while seven others were damaged after being hit by electric cables caused by a collapsed pole.

"The fallen tree and electric cables have since been cleared, and no injuries were reported," he said when contacted by Bernama on Saturday.

Norhirwan added that immediate clean-up operations were carried out by the Fire and Rescue Department together with the utility and tree maintenance teams, while Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) handled the removal of the electric cables. - Bernama
