Perak cops still seeking five alleged football hooligans, seven out on bail


IPOH: Police are tracking down five more suspects to complete their probe into a fight during a football match in Teluk Intan.

Hilir Perak OCPD Asst Comm Dr Bakri Zainal Abidin said seven suspects, aged from 21 to 32, who were remanded three days from Aug 8 under Section 147 of the Penal Code would be released on bail on Sunday (Aug 10).

"The investigation paper will be referred to the Public Prosecutor's Office this week for further instructions," he said in a statement on Sunday.

On Aug 8, police arrested seven men suspected of being involved in a riot during the football match.

The match was part of the Hilir Perak Integrity League 2025. – Bernama
