Negri Sembilan water disruption from Aug 12 to affect Seremban, PD, Tampin, Kuala Pilah


SEREMBAN: Several areas in Seremban, Port Dickson, Tampin, and Kuala Pilah will experience water supply disruption on Aug 12 at 8am and is expected to last until 8pm the following day, Aug 13.

Syarikat Air Negri Sembilan (SAINS) said this is due to emergency repair work on a burst pipe, pipe relocation works, cleaning activities at the Dangi Water Treatment Plant, and the connection of raw water pipes at the Ngoi-Ngoi Water Treatment Plant.

"Water supply will be restored in stages once all on-site works are fully completed. However, areas located on higher ground and at the end of the distribution system may experience longer delays in restoration,” it said in a statement on Friday (Aug 8).

Among the affected areas in the Seremban district are Mantin, Lenggeng, Labu, Nilai, Sendayan, including Kg Batang Benar, Kg Sg Mahang, Kg Baru Nilai, Kg Sg Sekah, Kg Stesen, Kg Nilai, Taman Mayang Sari, Pekan Nilai, Taman Ban Aik and Taman Nilai.

In Port Dickson, areas affected include Kampung Jimah Lama and Bayu Sutera.

In Kuala Pilah, the disruption will impact Kg Kepis Air Kuning, Kg Kepis Ulu, SK Kepis, Kg Sg Dua Besar, Kg Ulu Rembang Panas, Kg Bemban, Kg Sg Layang, SMK Senaling, SK Senaling, Pekan Senaling, Kg Ulu Senaling, Rumah Rakyat Senaling, Kg Maasop, Kg Batang Pilah, Kg Terap, Kg Peraku, Kg Cheriau and Kg Gachong.

Affected areas in Tampin include Taman Indah Tampin, Taman Clonlee, Taman Tunku Besar, Taman Mutiara, Taman Minang, Taman Batu Belang, Taman Bukit Ria, Kampung Batu Belang, Bandar Tampin, Pekan Gemencheh Baru, Taman Orked, Taman Dato Taha, Taman Asahan Indah, Taman Sri Asahan, Taman Sri Gemencheh,  Taman Gemencheh Jaya, Taman Sentosa and Felda Bukit Rokan.

Tanker lorries will be dispatched to static tank locations if the disruption extends beyond 24 hours following the closure period. — Bernama
