PETALING JAYA: The retail prices of RON95 and RON97 petrol will remain at RM2.05 per litre and RM3.17 per litre respectively from Aug 7 to 13.

In a statement on Wednesday (Aug 6), the Finance Ministry said the retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will increase by three sen per litre from RM2.91 to RM2.94, while the retail price of diesel in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan will remain at RM2.15 per litre.

The Finance Ministry said the prices were set based on the weekly retail pricing of petroleum products, using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula.

"The government will continue to monitor global oil price trends and take appropriate measures to safeguard the welfare and well-being of the people," the statement said.
