MACC remands Seremban land broker for allegedly using land title with falsified details

SEREMBAN: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has obtained an order from a Magistrate's Court here to remand a land broker for allegedly using a land title containing falsified details to obtain RM3.8mil, which were proceeds of a land sale.

Magistrate Saiful Sayoti signed the order allowing the MACC to remand the suspect who is in his 40s for seven days until Aug 11.

According to a source, the suspect was detained around 5.30pm on Monday (Aug 4) when he turned up at the MACC office to give his statement on the matter.

The land located in Lenggeng near here belonged to another individual.

When contacted, state MACC chief Awgkok Ahmad Taufik Putra Awg Ismail confirmed the probe adding that it was being investigated under Section 8 of the MACC Act 2009.
