Police announces new appointments for eight senior roles


KUALA LUMPUR: The police announced the transfer of eight senior officers effective Aug 25.

Bukit Aman Corporate Communications head ACP Julina Salehuddin said the reshuffle involves Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof, who has been appointed as deputy director of Management (Administration) of the Bukit Aman Management Department.

She said Pulapol Kuala Lumpur Commandant, DCP Alzafny Ahmad, had been appointed as the Negri Sembilan police chief, while Bukit Aman secretary, Datuk Kamarulzaman Abdullah, was now acting DCP.

"In addition, Kelantan Criminal Investigation Department (CID) chief Datuk Mohd Yhazid Idris has been appointed as Pulapol Kuala Lumpur Commandant while Penang CID deputy chief ACP Mohd Khairiel Mohd Arif has been appointed as Kelantan CID chief with the rank of acting SAC," she said in a statement Tuesday (July 22).

She said Jasin police chief Supt Mohamad Rusli Mat had been appointed as deputy chief of the Penang CID (Intelligence/Operations) with the rank of acting ACP and Alor Gajah police chief Supt Ashari Abu Samah had been appointed as Kuantan police chief with the rank of acting ACP.

"Supt (D8) Tactical Operations of Bukit Aman CID, Supt Mohd Syah Rizal Zahari, has been appointed as Kelantan CID deputy chief (Intelligence/Operations) with the rank of acting ACP," she said. – Bernama
