Car ploughs through Ipoh night market, injuring three women


 IPOH: Panic broke out at a bustling night market here on Friday (July 11) when a car ploughed through several stalls, injuring three people.

The incident occurred at 8.25pm at the First Garden night market.

Jelapang assemblyman Cheah Pou Hian said three women were injured and sent to the hospital for treatment.

“Two stalls were damaged during the incident.

“The three injured, one is believed to be a hawker while the other two were patrons,” he said.

Cheah said the driver was believed to be an older man, who lost control of the vehicle.

“The case is being investigated by the police,” he said.
