Police to refer preacher's case to deputy public prosecutor

KUALA LUMPUR: Investigations into a preacher who allegedly distributed intimate videos of his wives will be referred to the deputy public prosecutor’s office, says the police.

They have also identified a new witness whom they believe could aid in the investigation.

A total of five witnesses, including the suspect’s wives, have given their statements.

Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim confirmed the matter.

Previously, a preacher was arrested following a report lodged by his second wife on 16 June.

Several mobile phones containing intimate videos involving the suspect and his wives, as well as compromising images of several other women, were also seized.

The suspect has since been granted police bail following his arrest.
