Bus crashes into divider at Genting carpark, no injuries reported

GENTING HIGHLANDS: A tour bus crashed into a road divider at the Genting Mushroom Farm car park on Wednesday (July 2), causing damage to both the bus and a nearby taxi. No injuries were reported.

Bentong district police chief Supt Zaiham Mohd Kahar said the police were alerted to the incident at 12.20pm.

“Preliminary investigations found that the 45-year-old bus driver had driven the vehicle into the parking area. The bus then suddenly lurched forward, crashing into a road divider and a supporting roof pillar,” he said in a statement.

The impact caused the pillar to collapse onto a taxi parked nearby, damaging both vehicles.

Supt Zaiham confirmed that no one was hurt in the incident, and investigations into the case are ongoing.
