KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia and Singapore plan to strengthen regional cooperation to advance youth volunteerism and promote cross-border unity, says National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang (pic).

In a Facebook post on Thursday (June 26), he said the matter was discussed during his courtesy visit to Singapore’s Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, David Neo.

"The discussion included a proposal to establish a volunteer exchange programme and develop a collaborative network between youth volunteer organisations from both countries," he said.

Aaron also highlighted initiatives under the National Unity Ministry, including the role of Yayasan Sukarelawan Siswa (YSS), which actively implements Sukarelawan Siswa Madani Berkhidmat missions both locally and abroad.

He said these efforts reflect Malaysia’s commitment to shaping resilient, united and globally minded youth.

Aaron is in Singapore to attend the Third International Conference on Cohesive Societies (ICCS) 2025, which began on Tuesday (June 24). – Bernama
