BN supreme council reappoints Zambry, Johari as sec-gen, treasurer


PETALING JAYA: The Barisan Nasional supreme council has reappointed Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir and Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani as coalition secretary-general and treasurer-general respectively.

In a statement, Zambry said a meeting was held on Tuesday (June 24), which reaffirmed its commitment to strengthen the coalition as an inclusive political platform and to remain united under the Barisan umbrella.

The meeting also confirmed Barisan's readiness to face the Sabah Election, which is due to be held soon.

"Sabah's political stability is the key to strengthening the security, economic progress and well-being of the people of the state under the wind," read the statement.
