“ONLY the scent of my late daughter’s favourite blouse soothes my longing for her now,” said the mother of Gerik bus crash victim Nur Dalila Farhana Mohamad Isma, Utusan Malaysia reported.
Norinda Kasim, 49, said the pink blouse was among her daughter’s belongings returned from the Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (Upsi).
It has since become a source of comfort for the grieving mother.
“These are the things she had taken along when she enrolled at Upsi, but now they have returned without their owner,” she lamented.
“This was her favourite shirt and she would bring it everywhere she went.”
According to Norinda, Nur Dalila’s roommate had helped pack her belongings, which were later handed over to Upsi’s management to be sent back to the family in Jerteh, Terengganu.
Norinda, who could not contain her grief, said she would keep her daughter’s belongings as a memory, adding that some of the clothes would be given to Nur Dalila’s siblings.
The bag Nur Dalila had travelled with on the day of the crash has yet to be found.
